Introduction to what we do
Why Aren't We Awesomer? | Michael Neill | TEDxBend
Michael Neill is a coach, adviser, friend, mentor, and creative spark plug to celebrities, CEOs and royalty from the United Nations and five continents around the world. He is a best-selling author whose books have been translated into 14 languages. As founder of Supercoach Academy, an international school that teaches coaching from the inside out, Neill helps transform lives through his writing, teaching and public speaking. He also hosts Supercoach, a weekly radio segment that airs internationally on Hayhouse radio. To Neill, happiness is our natural state and we're always just one thought away from peace. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
A Story About Thought
A story about snakes, fear, and the amazing capacity within us to see through our own thinking to the deeper wisdom and health within. (It's excerpted from the Success video bundle or as a part of your membership in the Inner Circle.) Want more? I created the Inner Circle as a kind of "Netflix for the Soul" - a place where you can binge-watch, listen, and read about the inside-out understanding in a community of light-hearted like-minded explorers. We add new content each and every month, and I host "ask me anything" webinars where you can, well, ask me anything about this understanding and how it plays out in the world! TEDxTucson George Land The Failure Of Success
The theme of the TEDxTucson December 2011 event was "Innovating Our Green Economy. In his talk "The Failure Of Success", Dr. George Land gives us a brief history of human innovation and talks about the importance of creativity. George Land is an author, speaker, consultant, and general systems scientist with a broad and varied background in communications, business, education, and government. In 1958, when he was serving as chief executive of an international television network, he began investigations into stimulating and directing creativity. The encouraging results of those efforts led to his founding, in Cambridge and New York, Innotek Corporation, a research and consulting institute to further the knowledge about the enhancement of creative performance. This research ultimately led to the formulation of his Transformation Theory, a theory of transformation that integrates principles of creativity, growth, and change. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxTucson, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxTucson event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combined to spark deep discussion and connection about sustainability. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
