SCHOOL MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT PROGRAMME

Schools are finding it increasingly difficult to support the mental health needs of their staff and students. The mental health service is overstretched and young people and their families need access to services that can effectively treat and prevent high stress levels and mental illness.

As a result, we have developed our School Mental Health Support Programme . This programme will launch in September 2019 and is appropriate for both primary and secondary schools as an incredibly effective preventative solution to the mental health crisis.

We believe that every school community deserves the right to access this information, and as school budgets are under such intense strain at the moment, we are fundraising so that we can offer this programme to 18 schools across Hertfordshire and Essex FOR FREE.

We are crowdfunding via Just Giving in order to be able to provide this service.

This programme will train teachers in a very new understanding of the mind that is transforming the treatment of mental illness in the US. When counsellors, psychiatrists and psychologists re-orientate their practices to this appreciation of the mind, their results are extroadinary. This new understanding of human psychology is immensely simple and can be taught effectively in schools by teachers.

In our work over the last two years, we have seen huge transformations in students, staff and parents suffering from mental illness and the education that we offer has also prevented a great deal of dangerous behaviours and mental health conditions across the school community.

THIS PROGRAMME IS DESIGNED TO GIVE TWO MEMBERS OF STAFF THE KNOWLEDGE THEY NEED TO EFFECTIVELY SUPPORT THE MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS OF COLLEAGUES, PARENTS AND STUDENTS.

This course also comes with a 6 lesson PSHE unit for KS 1-5.
